The Great Wake of Kanagawa - Rory Morrison, 2021.

The Great Wave of Kanagawa, by Katsushika Hokusai has been the subject of yet another mashup, this time with a wind turbine. The above was painstakingly made over a few evenings. The rough shape of the turbine was traced and samples from the GWoK were used to add the texture. GWoK was then cut up into different layers to make the turbine appear as if it is in the picture.

The GWoK was created between 1829-1833 so has long since entered the public domain. The file I used was wonderfuly provided by rawpixel.com. I used pixlr.com to do the "photoshopping".
